Feeding System

How it works

A hopper rides the length of the cage row on a variable-speed drive, dropping feed into each tier through adjustable gates. Speed and gate height set the ration, and both are changed from the control panel rather than by hand at each cage.

• Even distribution. Birds at the far end of a 60 m row get the same feed depth as those at the hopper.
• Less waste. Trough lip height stops birds flicking feed onto the floor — typically the difference between 3% and under 1% spillage.
• Timed feeding. Run it to a schedule so the flock eats in defined windows, which improves shell quality in hot climates.

Alternative

Chain-pan lines are available where you want continuous feeding rather than timed passes. For manual operation, a hand trolley on the same rail costs a fraction and can be upgraded to motorised later.
